Texas turns to medical cannabis
Earlier in the day this the Department of Public Safety granted the first ever conditionally approved licenses for medical marijuana dispensaries in Texas under the Compassionate Use Act signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott in 2015 year. The dispensaries would create and offer low THC cannabis with a 150,000 clients with intractable epilepsy staying in their state. But, clients and industry leaders alike indicated concern throughout the certification procedures. Specifically, they questioned whether just three dispensaries as authorized by DPS could be sufficient to guarantee clients get access to their medicine. What the law states enforcement agency stated it determined three could be sufficient predicated on other states’ medical cannabis programs.
